RESPONSIBILITIES
Client Advisory & Delivery
- Support the management of a portfolio of clients, ensuring high-quality delivery of financial and corporate integrated communications strategies.
- Stay informed on industry trends and sectoral developments, applying insights to support client needs.
- Provide strategic advice to clients, helping to shape and execute communications strategies that drive positive outcomes.
New Business & Growth
- Support senior team members in identifying and securing new business opportunities.
- Contribute to the growth of existing client accounts through proactive client engagement.
- Play a role in supporting the expansion of Drury’s Financial Communications division.
Client, Portfolio & Team Management
- Lead day-to-day client account operations, ensuring effective delegation and execution of tasks.
- Supervise junior team members, offering guidance and quality control on deliverables.
- Assist in mentoring and developing junior colleagues, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Commercial Management
- Support the commercial management of client accounts, including budgeting, invoicing, and fee arrangements.
- Monitor client portfolio commercially and contribute to team-wide financial targets.
Culture & Professional Development
- Engage in internal initiatives such as service development and thought leadership.
- Support training, mentoring, and recruitment activities as needed.
- Represent Drury at industry and networking events to build relationships and enhance the company’s presence.
More About the Role
- Develop a deep understanding of client businesses to anticipate their communications needs and provide strategic financial communications advice.
- Assist in the development and execution of integrated corporate communications strategies to reach key stakeholders and enhance clients’ reputations.
- Play a key role in managing communications around major corporate and financial announcements, including quarterly earnings, mergers & acquisitions, and other strategic transactions.
- Draft and manage communications materials such as press releases, messaging documents, and Q&As.
- Provide media engagement support, helping to cultivate relationships with key business journalists and other stakeholders.
- Support clients in times of crisis, offering strategic advice and engaging with media to influence outcomes.
- Continuously monitor industry trends to identify emerging opportunities and risks for clients.
DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- 3-5 years of experience in corporate or financial communications, investor relations, or a related field.
- Understanding of or ambition to learn about capital markets and/or ESG principles.
- Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines effectively.
- Experience in delivering high-quality campaigns for corporate clients.
- Some experience in mentoring or managing junior colleagues.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and in fast-paced situations.
