OpenAI launched ChatGPT image generator

Recently, OpenAI introduced the latest iteration of its image generation technology, 4o, within the ChatGPT platform. As per a recent PR Week article, this advancement aims to address many of the shortcomings previously associated with AI-generated visuals, making it a significant development.

The enhancements showcase the potential of 4o in the creation of "workhorse" imagery, such as logos, diagrams, and illustrations, making it a valuable tool. 

Here are some key features of 4o Image Generation according to OpenAI:

  • More Accurately Rendered Images: Historically, AI-generated imagery has been more visually intriguing than precise.
  • Iterative Image Refinement: Users can upload images to serve as inspiration or a basis for new creations.
  • Complex Visuals: The ability to render more complex visuals has been enhanced. 4o can handle a greater number of objects within a single image.
