TU Dublin MAPR Students Host SymPRandA 2025 on Truth and Trust in Modern Communications

The MA in Public Relations students and staff are set to host SymPRandA 2025 on the theme ‘Truth and Trust in Modern Communications’ on Friday, 11 April.  This is the third annual Symposium in Public Relations and Public Affairs and takes place at the East Quad, City Campus Grangegorman and it’s open to all.

This year's symposium will honour the late Joe Heron, a 2008 graduate of the first MA in Public Affairs and Political Communication. The Joe Heron Keynote Address will be delivered by John Devitt, CEO of Transparency International Ireland.

This event addresses the growing challenge of discerning truth, trust, and credibility in modern communication, bringing together scholars and experts in media, public relations, and political affairs to discuss the impact of superficial and disposable communications on public perception and trust.

The symposium will also feature panel discussions and presentations on the corrosive effects of trumpery and strategies to enhance transparency in public communications.

SymPRandA aims to provide a platform for scholars and professionals in media, communications, and politics to engage in critical discussions, share experiences, and develop strategies to restore truth and trust in communications.
